Big congrats to our very own world champions – Fernando Torres & Pepe Reina of La Furia Roja! Unfortunately El Nino suffered a tear in his abductor muscle playing in the final, but he will recover in time for the start of the new 10/11 BPL season.

Roy Hodgson Reveals As The New Gaffer In Anfield

A big welcome to Anfield to new gaffer – Roy Hodgson. He has big shoes to fill and big players to convince to stay and fight for the Anfield cause. Irregardless of how some fans feel about his appointment, he deserves all the support from all of us. Set aside the difference of opinion on who should have taken over and also the unfortunate way how Rafa Benitez left. He might not be as highly regarded by many, but his managing experience is vast and varied. He’s been accredited with helping save Inter Milan (how ironic as Rafa is there now) from the brink. His experience there could well be invaluable to us, with all the expected sales of players and the reorganisation of the squad. He has also managed a Swiss side that went into the last-16 of the 1994 World Cup.

In our final BPL home game of the 09/10 season, we’ll be playing Chelsea and have the role of being “king-makers” in deciding where the Premiership Championship will head to. We face dilemma of either to go for the win and see if the team above us in the fight for the final Champions League qualification spot will falter, or entertain the possibility of “not wining” the match to stop our nemesis down the M62 – Man Utd from surpassing the 18 championships mark.

Are You Red Enough?

Liverpool fans have had to swallow a number of disappointing defeats this season, but none more so than today’s 2-1 loss to bitter rivals Man Yoo at Old Trafford. A lethargic Liverpool squad turned up second best against a side led by the in-form Wayne Rooney and Park Ji-Sung. The Reds have now recorded 10 losses in the league, a huge dent to their Champions League aspirations.

However, on paper at least, Liverpool are capable of going on a winning run all the way until the end of the season against lower-ranked teams while Tottenham and Man City still have big games against the top 3. At time of writing, Liverpool lie 6th, behind Spurs and City who have 1 and 2 games in hand respectively.

On a positive note, it was encouraging to note the sizable number of Liverpool fans who showed up at the Library today for the live viewing. Despite the forgettable season, folks still stood strong behind the team and hoping for a repeat of last season’s 4-1 stuffing of the Mancs on their home turf.

We were also very encouraged with sales of the Shankly “50th Anniversary” and “Torresism” t-shirts during the event.

MyRAWK Special Event: Man Utd vs LFC

Come join the MyRAWKites for the titanic clash between the fiercest rivalry in the Premier League! This time round, The Mighty Reds will travel to Old Trafford, Man Utd’s stomping ground for the showdown that might well help decide where the BPL championship will head to. It will be important for LFC to win the match as well, to get the fight for 4th spot and Champion’s League qualification back on track after a dismal run of games the past few weeks.

We will be gathering at The Library, e@Curve this Sunday, starting from 8:30pm onwards for the match. There will be prizes to be won if you take part in our Q & A. You will be able to buy MyRAWK’s limited edition t-shirts as well.  We will play tribute to Shankly in our 50 years anniversary t-shirt and show our awe for “El-Nino” with the first design in the “ism” series of t-shirt to be produce in tribute to the soul-and-hearts of the team.

Those of you who are in Malacca, can join our fellow brethren in the Historical City at The Taragon Restaurant , Lorong Hang Jebat, Melaka.

MyRAWK will be gathering at The George and Dragon, Bangsar Shopping Center for the match at Anfield against Blackburn on Sunday night. We will be there  from 10:30pm onwards.

With the competition for the coveted 4th spot getting closer and hotter after the boring draw against City. We have to pick up 3 points against Rover to ensure Spurs and Villa do not get a grip on the last Champions League qualification spot.
